Leminar to build largest Ductwork Facility in the Middle East
Dhs. 100 million investment in state of the art fabrication facility.
Leminar Air Conditioning Industries, a part of the Al Shirawi Group of Companies, broke ground on the construction of their state-of-the-art ductwork fabrication facility, which once completed is set to be one of the largest duct fabrication facilities in the world.
Planned over 325,000 square feet of space with an investment of over AED100 million, the new factory will be located in Dubai Industrial City (DIC) and will include fully automated duct line machines, spiral duct manufacturing, acoustic attenuators production, along with the manufacturing fire dampers and other duct related accessories.
Present at the ground breaking ceremony were Navin Valrani, CEO of LAI, Dipak Bhadra, General Manager of LAI, Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Director – Partner Relation, D.I.C, Ali Dawood, Executive Director – Operations, D.I.C and Pankaj Gandhi, M.D of Honest Constructions – the main contractor which will be managing the construction of the facility.
“This new factory will set a new benchmark for duct manufacturing in the Middle East and will further seal Leminar’s position as the dominant player in the industry”, said Navin Valrani. “Our investment is a reflection of the confidence we have in Dubai Industrial City and in the city of Dubai”, he added.
Dubai Industrial City, spread across 560 million square feet, is a manufacturing and logistical destination of choice in the U.A.E. The facility is well connected to both the neighboring Emirates and to The Dubai World Central (DWC) Airport.
The anticipated completion date of the projects is February 2015, and once completed it will host some of the best manufacturing processes in the field of HVAC duct manufacturing and will serve customers both locally and all across the G.C.C.
