12th December 2010 marked yet another milestone for Al Shirawi and Leminar.
Members from Al Shirawi and Leminar along with an estimated 2,000 volunteers from all sectors in the UAE, participated in the Clean Up – UAE Campaign organized by the Emirates Environmental Group. Trudging through the sand where camel pens once stood in Nad Al Sheba, volunteers filled rubbish bags with nearly 35 tons of trash was from the area. It was a satisfying, fun, productive way of giving importance to our environment and absolutely a great learning experience for community service.
Al Shirawi and Leminar are committed to make a visible effort to reduce and recycle waste. A lot of green initiatives have been taken not only in the facility but also the staff and labor accommodations.
